About Bolchazy-Carducci Publishers

We at Bolchazy-Carducci Publishers, Inc. are proud to serve the Classics community. We are a family owned company focused on offering the best in Latin and Greek pedagogy with unparalleled customer service. Through attendance at conferences, panels of teacher consultants, editors with degrees in Classics, and more, we stay in touch with and react to the needs of teachers and students.

In 2008, we launched an innovative Latin curriculum, Latin for the New Millennium, whose eagerly-anticipated Level 1 and Level 2 materials have been adopted by scores of teachers and school districts. You've never seen a Latin curriculum like Latin for the New Millennium . . . for more details, take a look at the LNM website.

And, in 2012, in response to overwhelming teacher demand, we introduced Latin for the New Millennium, Level 3. This third year reader, which can be used after any introductory text, introduces students to reading Caesar, Catullus, Cicero, Vergil, Horace, Ovid, and authors from the post-antique era.

In timely response to the new AP curriculum, 2012 also saw the release of Caesar: Selections from his Commentarii De Bello Gallico and Vergil's Aeneid: Selected Readings from Books 1, 2, 4, and 6, along with many ancillary materials. Bolchazy-Carducci has also offered free webinars on Caesar, Vergil, and teaching the new AP curriculum to help teachers in this time of transition.

We now offer the series Lectiones Memorabiles to match the IB syllabus. Volume I contains the prescribed passages for Vergil, Love Poetry and Women and Volume II contains the prescribed passages for History and Good Living for the syllabus with examinations in 2016, 2017, and 2018.

In addition to textbooks and scholarship, we offer downloads (through iPodius) and CDs of Latin and Greek readings, music, flashcards, and more to promote students and teachers to interact with Latin and Greek in many ways. Our Agora platform allows teachers to sell their own worksheets, recordings, and monographs.

Our monthly eLitterae online newsletter is a favorite among classics educators. To sign up for this free electronic mailing click here.

The digital age is here and Bolchazy-Carducci is proud to offer many of our favorite textbooks as eBooks through Google Play and Digital Direct. In addition, we have partnered with AcademicPub to offer teachers the opportunity to build their own textbooks using selections from Bolchazy-Carducci products. Check out AcademicPub.com to see which Bolchazy-Carducci favorites are already available.

We have succeeded in selling several hundred thousand copies of children's classics in Latin as part of our effort at "Responsible Popularization." The Wall Street Journal, The Chronicle of Higher Education, the Associated Press, and hundreds of other newspapers together with other media like radio and TV joined us in promoting Latin. Our latest title is Ubi Fera Sunt, a translation by Rick LaFleur of Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are.

Let's continue working together toward a better future for ourselves and the world through the lessons of the past.
