Betty Nye Quinn, PhD

Betty Nye Quinn (1922-1997) joined the faculty of the Department of Classical Languages and Literatures at Mount Holyoke College in 1968, where after 32 years of service, she became professor emeritus. Quinn received a BA from Mount Holyoke College and an MA and PhD from Bryn Mawr College. Her areas of specialization were classical and medieval Latin literature. Quinn coauthored with Gilbert Lawall The Aulularia of Plautus: The Pot of Gold (Longman, 1988) and coedited with Gilbert Lawall Plautus' Menaechmi (Bolchazy-Carducci Publishers, 1978, 1995, reprint 2002).
