Paul Murgatroyd, PhD

Paul Murgatroyd is professor of classics at McMaster University in Ontario. He received his BA and MA from the University of Cambridge, and his PhD from the University of London. Murgatroyd is the author of Tibullus I: A Commentary on the First Book of the Elegies of Albius Tibullus (Duckworth/Bristol Classical Press, 1981, reprinted 2001), Ovid with Love (Bolchazy-Carducci Publishers, 1982), Melpomene: Translations of Selected Greek Lyrics with Notes (A. M. Hakkert, 1989), A Collection of Translations into Latin Verse: Neo-Latin Poetry (Mellen Press, 1991), and Mythical and Legendary Narrative in Ovid's Fasti (Leiden, Brill, 2005).
