Alexander P. MacGregor, Jr., PhD

Alexander P. MacGregor, Jr. (1942-2013) was professor of classics at the University of Illinois. MacGregor received his BA from Xavier University and his MA and PhD from the University of Chicago. His research interests included Latin paleography, the writings of Seneca the Younger, the Latin poet Manilius and the origins of astrology. MacGregor authored Ten Years of Classicists: Dissertations & Outcomes 1988-1997 (Bolchazy-Carducci Publishers, 1998).
