G. Lodge
Gonzalez Lodge (1863-1942) was professor of Latin at Bryn Mawr College from 1888 to 1900 and professor of Latin and Greek at the Teachers College of Columbia University from 1900 to 1930. Lodge received his BA and PhD from Johns Hopkins University. While at Johns Hopkins University, Lodge studied under Basil L. Gildersleeve, with whom he would later revise Gildersleeve's Latin Grammar. Lodge authored numerous publications, including Gorgias (Ginn and Company, 1891) and Lexicon Plautinum (Teubner, 1904); and revised and expanded in cooperation with Basil L. Gildersleeve the third edition of Gildersleeve's Latin Grammar (D. C. Heath, 1894; reprinted 1997 by Bolchazy-Carducci Publishers).
