Jon Hall
Jon Hall has taught in the Classics Department at the University of Otago, New Zealand, since 1993. Hall received an MA from St. Andrews and the University of Texas at Austin and a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin. He has published articles and book chapters on the oratory and letters of Cicero, as well as discussions of Greek burial practices at Metaponto in South Italy. Hall is coauthor with Robin Bond of Performing Cicero's Speeches: An Experimental Workshop (Bolchazy-Carducci Publishers, 2008), author of Performing Cicero's Pro Archia (Bolchazy-Carducci Publishers, 2008) and Politeness and Politics in Cicero's Letters (Oxford University Press, 2009), and coeditor with William Dominik of A Companion to Roman Rhetoric (Blackwell, 2007).
