Ovid was arguably the most influential Roman poet of his day. Beginning with an informed and informative description and introduction by Professor Graves Haydon Thompson, 'Ovid: Ars Amatoria/Remedia Amoris' is a superbly presented text of Ovid's Ars Amatoria presented in a three section: Liber Primus; Liber Secundus; and Liber Tertius. Professor Thompson then presents 'Remedia Amoris'. Each page of Latin text is profusely underlined with numbered English meanings of Latin words and word elements. Of special note is a comprehensive Basic Vocabulary to be found on the inside of the back cover in a special fold out page. 'Ovid Ars Amatoria/Remedia Amoris' is strongly recommended as a core addition to personal and academic library Latin Language Studies reference collections and a curriculum supplement text.
